  Authentic food and great atmosphere. The New York times wrote an article about this restaurant and their interesting food ration coupons, which were used back in 1976 when the state complelty controlled the economy. The whole restaurant is dedicated to reminding patrons what it was like back in the day when restaurants were barred from having names and certain food items were scarce. We actually ended up ordering too much food and it was some of the best food I had in Hanoi.

  Excellente adresse traditionnelle. Avec un cadre 70 très chaleureux en restant très authentique. Mention spéciale pour le porc braisé : une merveille!

  Chén đũa, không gian thời mậu dịch, nhưng cơm của bây giờ nha. Đồ ăn ngon, có cảm giác như ăn cơm nhà. Mình thích nhất là món cơm cháy và thịt rang cháy cạnh.

  Cừa hàng ăn uống mang phong cách hoài niệm với những nét riêng độc đáo về một thời bao cấp đã qua, chất lượng sản phẩm bình thường, ăn để biết chứ không phải là ăn lấy ngon! Giá thành thuộc loại cao!

  After reading glowing reviews of this place, I was thoroughly disappointed with the experience and the food here. It was very bland and overpriced. The fried rice was interesting, but with nothing tasty to eat it with, it falls flat. The spicy beef literally does not have any spice in it. Half of the dish is tendons, which would have been fine if that was described on the menu. The soup with potatoes and ribs is not seasoned and the meat was extremely tough and flavorless. We ordered hot tea and it came out at room temperature. We had to ask for it hot and then waited until most of our food was out until we got new mugs of tea. Seems like the recipes and prices are tailored to unwitting foreigners. Overall, I would not recommend.
