::Flying business class from other airlines than Vietnam Airlines won’t get the value that you would expect, there was no priority at all. Business lounge was dirty and ratio of guests to space is so low, I had to share dining table with others and had to constantly watch for my belongings since there are many people walking by. I was wondering whether the 20min foot massage they offered me is more worthwhile than having access to the lounge...

::Vietnam is a great place to visit, but their visa policy just push all their customers away. Unless you find a visa agent before you get into here, you will need at least 1hr to apply your visa and pass the immigration. And their efficiency is low. Before you wait for the queue for VISA or immigration, you can get a sim card inside there, with USD$10, you can enjoy unlimited data for a month. Wifi here also very unstable, and it's keep disconnected

::This airport is an utter embarrassment to Vietnam. Everything moves at a snail's pace -- much more so than you could usually expect from an airport -- at least twice as slow as other major international airports. My wife and I had a transfer from a domestic flight to international but the two and a half hours we had in the airport was barely enough to board our departing flight! We also previously arrived in Vietnam at this airport. While the airport isn't to blame for the visa on arrival process we feel that it could be made a lot more streamlined and pleasant. The abundant staff are rude and lazy at all steps including check-in desks, to food service, immigration, visa, cleaning... The shopping and food choices are very limited and sub-par. Also, the bus which took us to the departing plane swung out it's rear end and hit us and other passengers on the tarmac!

::Overall clean airport with improved facilities over the years. However I do agree that the service level of airport staff is low, nothing compares to the expected service and hospitality rendered in Ho Chi Minh city. Small departure area with limited seats available. Charging booths for laptop and handset especially for business passengers could be improved. No complains to the higher price of food as expected within airport though.

::The airport itself is not that bad, but the employees and services are terrible. There are so many steps to go through, which is fine, except the lines were all so long and everything took forever. We arrived at the airport 3 and a half hours before boarding and barely made it on time because everything took so long. If you don't like waiting in lines, this airport is terrible for you. We waited in 3 lines, all with hundreds of people and took at least 45 minutes to get through, even before getting to our gate. The staff is extremely rude and openly ask for bribes. They apparently found something weird in on of our checked bags to which my mom said she would happily take it out and throw it away if needed. However, the officer got all aggressive and asked for her passport. He then proceeded to ask her to give him money as a bribe. My mom asked him why she should give him money at all and he said it would be a nice gesture to his hardworking comrades, what a joke!! The only nice thing about my experience was that the gate was pretty spacious and not very crowded like other airports. Overall, if you're flying from Tan Son Nhat come really early (probably 4-5 hours before boarding) and be prepared for a lot of waiting and a whole lot more waiting.
