Right if you want to get in there for apply for your Chinese visa be there 4-420am to get in there and to get your application in I tried once got there at 7am huge line of locals and westerners alike and didn't get in that time as well as others as soon as they close the door at 11am and you aren't in there well you just aren't going in. If you haven't downloaded an application to fill out then you need to grab one at 830am at the door and run back in line to fill it in! Words of advice just download it and fill in or grab one on a day and then go back the next. Time it right when you go if you get there on a Monday you will receive it Thursday Tuesday then Friday if it's any later then you will have to pick it up on the next Monday. I believe if you do it on a Monday or Tuesday you may have to go back to embassy to see if its accepted but if not then you will have to go pay at the specified bank on the Tuesday or Wednesday!! Trust me I was first in line when I went and waited until 830am for it to open seems radical but it's needed and there is no express service as they have such a back log due to so many applications!!

The people who are working at embassy cannot speak good English and in some cases they tend to not to work especially cultural office and embassy hotline. It is not good for chinese reputation.

The building is kind of whatever, but that's not why you're reading this review. I write this having just come from the place (October 2017). If you are a tourist in Vietnam with a tourist visa and trying to apply for one for China, do NOT waste your time. They do not accept tourist visas as valid. You need to either work in Vietnam or have residency here. Don't bother arguing either--it's not like it's the workers' faults for this and they are simply enforcing the rules they are told. That said, the reason for the low review is because they do not make the updated policy clear. On all their signs, they say you just need to have a valid visa with no indication on what "valid" means. While they cannot control what the government will accept, they do have the ability to not waste people's time by making the rules clear upfront.
